After millenuims of economic growth, our world has been exploited and depleted by undeniable elements that continues to destroy and threaten the global environment. Ironically, we came to a point wherein we rely much more to the technologies that man has invented and became irresponsible towards our earths health. We are now challenging our capabilities on how far we could strech our knowledge towards creating innovative technologies at the same time saving our environment to avoid climate change.
Most companies, polititians and individuals claim to be doing something to prevent further depletion of our resources as well as taking carre of our planet. In my opinion, they only endow un unhealty optimism by spreading the word however; forgets to do it. As th saying goes on “actions speak louder than words.” If we only boast about it and don’t do something soon, we might end up pushing our race to extinction. The production of renewable energy sources proves to be an eco-friendly approach towards saving the global environment.
It has been a common goal for over years that we must be more responsible towards our action that could endow disastrous consequences to the environment. Providing solutions that assures benefits that could not only meet our growing needs must also pass in benefiting the environment as well. Renewable energy sources allow to conserve and protect the global environment from depletion and extinction of our natural resources. Some of these renewable sources as being critisized whether they would really benefit the environment and these cause numerous debates in the green market.
Saving and protecting our global environment is an influencial aspect of caring for the environment that we live in. Numerous claims are being presented to the masses in order to make them believe that by purchasing specific types of green solutions, you could be guilt free of your sins towards the environment. These routines may somehow help the environment however; they are being proposed as a long term solution in saving our global environment.
Renewable energy sources standsout from the rest of these green solution due to the fact that these innovation does not emit harmful gases that adds to the cause of climate change. It challenges these causes by diminishing and reducing the reliance towards our resources. Using Biofuels As Alternative Source Of Energy – List Of Benefits

Biofuels are when we use organic matter as fuel by converting it into power for use. By producing biofuels, this is an alternative energy source as we depend on fossil fuels. The ethanol products include under its aegis, derivatives of plants like sugar cane, and also corn and vegetable oils, all part of the biofuels umbrella. What is most important is the end product energy that has been converted and its usefulness for our society’s needs, the effort involved is what we put into the input energy so as to produce which is the end-product. A study by the OSU found that ethanol which is corn-derived was only 20% energy efficient (compared to gasoline that is 75% energy efficient and made from petroleum). Biodiesel fuel had a recorded energy efficiency of 69%. Out of the study came one positive thing: higher than nuclear energy which is effectively efficient, was cellulose-derived ethanol charted as 85% efficient.
The New York Exchange has marked a change in oil for the future, with analysts from many countries having predicted surges in the availability of biofuels, which would offset oil prices, seeing crude oil drop to prices of about per barrel on the international market. On the Chicago Stock Exchange there is more investment activity in future markets on grain, making a “steal” on the oil futures of New York, with investors expecting much better profitability from biofuels to come. By 2030, a consensus of analysts have predicted that biofuels will account for 7% of transportation for all round the world. Demand for and diesel and gasoline will slowly fall dramatically according to one energy market analyst, as government supports the use of the more eco-friendly biofuels and subsidise the manufactures of this fuel.

Brazil is the biggest in the production of ethanols that are derived from sugars. Approximately three and a half billion gallons of ethanol is produced in a year.

Biofuels are a Green Energy Source
Biofuels are also a green energy source. It has been around for a very long time and lately, people are beginning to take notice.
Liquid biofuel which is the one used in cars is a natural and renewable domestic fuel that can only be used for diesel engines. This can be made from vegetable oils mostly soy and corn. The nice thing about it is that it contains no petroleum, is nontoxic and biodegradable.
By fueling up with biofuel, you decrease the pollutants in the air because it does not emit anything. Right now, it is the only fuel approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), passed every Heath-Effects Test of the Clean Air Act and meets the requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
One example of this is biodiesel which is made from alcohol like methanol and a chemical process that separates glycerine and methyl esters (biodiesel) from fats or vegetable oils. Aside from methanol, some countries have also experimented with corn and sugarcane to create their own version of biofuel.
Glycerine is a common products and this is used in making toothpaste and soap. Since it is quite new, the process of converting it is quite expensive and right now, this is still much more expensive per gallon compared to petroleum.
But if you look at what you pay for it, the returns are huge because you get to do your share to preserve a cleaner environment, an improvement in air quality and a reduction of cancer-causing agents.
A cheaper and primitive way to make bio-diesel is by collecting cooking oil and then processing it. This may not good your car’s engine so be careful if you decide to use it.
If you are skeptic about biodiesels, studies have shown that its performance on the road is just as good as petroleum in terms of power to efficiency, hauling and climbing. You can use this in its pure form or blend with petroleum fuel. The most common mix in the market is 20/80 and is referred to as “B20.” This means that 20% is biodiesel and the remainder is 80%. Another version is the E85 which is fuel composed of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.
The best part about using biodiesel is that you only have to make a few changes in your engine to be able to use it. Aside from making the car run, it also helps clean the engine. If you are concerned that this will void the warranty of your vehicle should there be a problem, don’t worry because it doesn’t. In the US, B20 is the most common one available but there are only a few gas stations that carry it.
When car’s first rolled out in the beginning of the 20th century, Henry Ford planned to make these vehicles especially the Model T’s run using ethanol. Tests have even shown that these may also run using peanut oil.
This never materialized because huge oil deposits were discovered and diesel was cheap. It was only when our demand for oil increased in the 1970′s, 1980′s, 1990′s and in the early part of this year that people began to realize that to reduce our demand for foreign oil that we should try using biodiesels and other forms of alternative energy.
Is it too late? Not yet because there is still time to use biofuels and others as green energy sources.

How Biofuels Are Moving Into Top Status As An Alternative Fuel Source
Biofuels are made by taking matter and making it into fuel. I recently was watching dirty jobs on the discovery channel and saw an Isuzu pick up truck running on bio diesel. Now I thought to myself how in the world and what is bio diesel. Bio diesel is the oil from fryers like a restaurants deep fryer. The makers will take gallons of used vegetable oil and peanut oil basically any fryers oil and use them to make bio diesel. It is a long process but it only cost about 55 cents a gallon and gets about 40 mpg depending on the vehicle. I can’t exactly remember how it was made but there was a chemical reaction with the methanol that made all the sludge stick to the bottom of the gallon and after that you have bio diesel.
Even though the government still has a long way to go to get these alternative fuels many Americans have already learned the chemistry to producing these fuels. A recent study by a Pacific Northwest university said that they cannot find a way to make the fuel as good as gas made from oil. Gas will only go so far but the bio diesel will go a long way because it is cheap to make and isn’t hard to convert motors to run on them they just have to already be a diesel motor.
Biofuels are made by using matter from the environment to make a usable fuel to burn. These biofuels better to use then the fossil fuels that we burn every day. The bio fuels need to be able to use in cars or vehicles because that is where most of out fossil fuels go to. They need to make a way or fuel that can run in any car and can make it at a very cheap rate.
Even though it has a long way to go till everyone is using these there are still a few people in the United States who have these bio fuel labs in the garages at home. The study done up north by a university still cannot find out why they can’t make a small amount of bio fuel and that is because you don’t have the right properties. You are probably trying to use something with no significant bio value at all.
Even though the oil has been though in the stock exchange does not mean that we Americans cannot make something that can be used as an every day alternative, dropping all the oils prices are not going to do it because then people will continue to use them. The people just need to take the matter into their own hands and make something that can be used every day as a fossil fuel alternative. It isn’t hard people are already using bio diesel every day. Nothing stopping them from making their own. The government knows how to make these fuels they just don’t want to because they want to keep stealing all our money even though they are the ones printing the money.
